Cusco, Peru, 27-28 September 2018
LORENTZ Premium Sales and Service Partner Electrosol Puno participated in the „Irrigation festival“ which took place on 27 and 28 September 2018 in Cusco, Peru.
The event was organized in cooperation with the College of Engineering and the Faculty of Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering of the National University San Antonio Abad of Cusco.
Edgar Centeno Chavarria, economist at Electrosol Puno, and Jorge Huaraco, CEO of Electrosol Puno, held a presentation on the economic feasibilty of using solar water pumping systems for irrigation and demonstrated sizings for irrigation applications with the sizing software COMPASS.
On the occasion of the festival, a LORENTZ PS2-600 SJ5-8 pump powered by 4 solar modules with 250 Wp was installed in the field which provides irrigation water via sprinklers. Edgar Centeno Chavarria explained to the participants the functionality of this system and the general benefits of using solar water pumps for irrigation.
With a combination of theory and practice the participants learned a lot and could better understand why irrigation with solar water pumps totally makes sense.
