Why grounding?
Grounding is mandatory to protect the users from potentially fatal electric shocks. It also protects against electric charging or a short circuit inside the device. This is accomplished through clamping, bolting or other mechanical means to provide an effective grounding path to the earth to ensure safe operation at all time.

Before starting to work on the electrical system make sure that all components are disconnected from the power source.
Only switch on the system when you have finished all work.
Requirements
- A protective ground must be connected to the connection bolt located on the outside of the controller housing marked with the symbol " ⏚ " .
- A grounding profile rod should be located not more than 4–5.0 m [13-16 ft] from the controller. The cable must not carry any mechanical loads.
- The rod must be completely buried in the ground (2.5 m [8 ft] below ground level).
- The grounding cable should be a copper cable with a cross section of not less than 4.0 mm² [AWG 6]. Refer to the following diagram:
